I think the lobbyist did a fabulous job translating this complicated issue into simple terms for outsiders (like legislators).
I saw that the Coalition for Illinois Midwifery is having a Spring Fundraiser to fund the legislative effort to licens certified professional midwives in Illinois. http://www.homebirthishealthy.org or http://www.illinoismidwifery.org
